Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) Regulation 335-6-15.47 requires certification for individuals who supervise installation, closure and repair of UST systems.  ALPEC’s  16- unit UST Installation, Closure and Repair (UST-ICR) education program meets this requirement and is approved by ADEM, the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) and Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ).   ALPEC administers the Alabama state-specific exam,  manages the database of Alabama UST-ICR Certified Contractors, and all individuals who are Alabama UST-ICR Certified Contractors are listed on our web site.  If you know of a contractor who is installing, closing and/or repairing a UST System without a valid certification please contact ALPEC.
